So with six players injured there were strong displays in every position to make up for our lack of numbers. Sam and Matty as right and left back looked good in a patched up back four and Jack played really well in central mid-field.

There were three top quality finished for our goals, which was great to watch and after 3 games the goals seem to be coming from all over the pitch which is fantastic and shows confidence growing through the lads.

There is no training this week as Beckfoot has an open evening and I hope a week off training will allow some of the lads to rest their injuries in time for next week’s game – Please don’t play if you are 50% we want all the lads to be 100%, there are plenty of games this season and a week’s rest may prevent a month’s injury!

The league has updated our fixtures so we are away to Crosshills next week and then home to Horsforth on the 5th Oct.

I will update the Crosshills information once they have confirmed KO time but please let me know if you can’t make it.
