Last week saw the passing of Craven, Aire & Wharfedale League Committee member Fred Watson. Our condolences go to Fred's wife Olwyn and the rest of their family & friends. Fred has served the league for over 30 years and simply put without the work of people like Fred local leagues wouldn't exist.
Teams across the region including our Bingley teams joined together on Sunday to hold a minutes applause to thank Fred for all he has done for grassroots football.
He will be greatly missed by everyone in the football community.
